Do you think bearded dragons are better than leopard geckos or not?
Lately I’ve been interested in bearded dragons and leopard geckos. Which do you think is better. Which one has more personality. Which one do you think is more fun as a pet? I would like this question to be answered from people who have experience with one or both of these reptiles.
I’ve had both. Beardies are awesome! They get to know you, have real “personalities” are so much fun, where as though geckos looks so cute, that’s about all you get. They don’t really have much of a personality at all. Very boring and always a bit shy of ppl, even if it’s a little, where as beardies get friendly very quickly. I’ve had 2 beardies and 3 geckos.
Thats right! I didn’t even think about that. Beardies are awake all day, and geckos’ are in thier hide sleeping all day!

. I am a crested gecko owner and want to upgrade to a larger reptile.Are bearded dragons hard to care for. Can they get docile enough to walk around the house with them on your shoulder?
Beardies are great but their care is very specific and can be complicated and overwhelming until you get the hang of it. It can also be costly for the initial setup.
But if you do a lot of research, know everything you need BEFORE you walk into the pet store (or avoid the pet store altogether is even better), then beardies are very rewarding and yes, like to chill out on your shoulder.
